Steamed Egg Thai Syle.

Khai Tun or Steamed Egg.

It's very easy to make...

 




  Ingredinents and Condiments.



          Other ingredients include soup or water and stock.
  

How To Make.





           
          1.- 3. Knock the egg into a bowl then adding soup or water and stock before beat the eggs mix well.  

 



  
             4.- 6. Placing the sieve into the bowl is empty then pour the egg mixture through a sieve. ( You can use a spoon to beat the eggs so that it will flows more quickly through a sieve. ) 

 



 

            7.- 9. Repeat, switch back and forth about 10 times. Put soy sauce, black salty sauce, chinese wine, oyster sauce, sesame oil, papper, chicken or pork and shiitake ( If none, No need. ), minced pork or other meat, milk.


 



             

           **** For cooking in small amounts to save. So, I will use bowl and pot as a substitute for stacked steamer. ****

Stacked Steamer


            10. Put water into a pot by using about 1/5 of water in a pot. Then Place the small bowl inside the pot. ( Size of the small bowl must be higher than the water ) Set the fire by using medium hight. Wait until the water starts to boils and produces water vapor ( steam ) then reduce heat so the water begins to simmer slowly. Place the egg bowl superimposed on the small bowl ( Do not let the boiling water was frothing strictly prohibited ) close lid. Because will can cause bubbles to form in the cooked eggs and not tasty.  

 


            11.-14. While waiting to be cooked eggs. We will fried garlic by pour oil into a hot pan and wait until it hot ( Test by put a tiny piece of chopped garlic into the hot oil. if it can floats over the oil along with tiny little bubbles, then put the garlic remaining into the pan. ). Fried until the garlic turns golden brown. But! Do not let it is very dark because can get bitter flavors. After the garlic turns golden brown then use a colander for scoop out of the pan, and then place it superimposed on the bowl to drain the oil.  

   




          When the eggs are cooked ( How to tell if egg is cooked use a knife dipped in to the steamed egg if no water form steamed egg float up tell a egg is cooked ) Sprinkle with fried garlic oil, fred garlic, coriander and little more pepper.

           It is very delicious when you eat with steamed rice while still hot, especially "Hom Mali Rice" of Thai or "Thai Jasmine Rice."

           For the amount of condiments depending on your preferences.
